91-LS_400 Posted February 23, 2008 Share Posted February 23, 2008 I have a problem with my car. it wasnt doing this before and after i did a major tune up. like changing the distributor and caps and coils. now the car shoots out a thick cloud of white smoke from the exhaust idnt knw why. it also feels like a huge loos of power while driving Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This smoke is like a burn type of smoke. it never did it b4 and now when i turn it on its shoots out alot. also there car funs fine out of gear but once i put it in gear there is a mojor loss of power Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
aarman4 Posted February 24, 2008 Share Posted February 24, 2008 I would go back and double check and make sure all of your connections to your distributor are good, and make sure everything was assembled properly when it was done. It sounds like you might have a cylinder which is not firing. If everything is hooked up properly, I wonder if it is possible that a plug wire may have been damaged during it's disconnection/reconnection to the distributor maybe as well. Good luck!
