SKperformance Posted November 30, 2003 Share Posted November 30, 2003 The cheapest is a pda with a gps program and sensor. Easy to use small cheap and effective. Alot of the IS 200-300 guys have them hardwired in there little hole in the dash. A regualr one like alpine or pioneer is going to cost around 1500 -4000 depending on style and options plus install. steviej Posted November 30, 2003 Share Posted November 30, 2003 I agree with sk. Recently in the market for a nice PDA, I noticed that Garmin just came out with a PDA/Handheld GPS. Garmin is a well known name in nav systems (both marine and handheld). I think the PDA was MS Windows CE or Mobile based. If you already have a PDA, many have add on programs and antenna instead of replacing the whole unit. Another name to look for is Magellan, these come in color screen and are water resistant.
