Recommended Posts

Dear Lexus owners, Please recommend a effective and inexpensive after market navigation system/GPS for my 96 es300, due to this new job that I have to visit clients all over southern California everyday, any advice will be appreciated.

The cheapest is a pda with a gps program and sensor.

Easy to use small cheap and effective. Alot of the IS 200-300 guys have them hardwired in there little hole in the dash.

A regualr one like alpine or pioneer is going to cost around 1500 -4000 depending on style and options plus install.

I agree with sk. Recently in the market for a nice PDA, I noticed that Garmin just came out with a PDA/Handheld GPS. Garmin is a well known name in nav systems (both marine and handheld). I think the PDA was MS Windows CE or Mobile based.

If you already have a PDA, many have add on programs and antenna instead of replacing the whole unit.

Another name to look for is Magellan, these come in color screen and are water resistant.

Most PDAs have car mount brackets and cig lighter adapters.
