Changed Battery And Alarm Keeps Going Off

I just changed the battery in my 98 GS400. When I went to reconnect the terminals, the alarm keeps going off and it is not responding to my remote. What can I do? Does the ECU need to be reset and if so, how?

Try putting the key in the ignition before reconnecting the battery. Just a thought. :whistles:
