Traction Control

Hello, I have a question about the traction control on my es330, 04. Is it normal for the rpms to be limited when in heavy snow or ice? It seems the more I push on the gas pedal, it doesn't make any difference in speed or rpms, I let up and push and then I increase speed. I also have a 04 Impala and big difference on the way the traction control works on that car, more spinning, but seems to be better in the snow, could be the tires. Thanks.

What tires do you have on the car?

Lexus has Toyo Spectrum. Car has 46600 miles, tires about 18000 miles

Impala has Goodyear Integraity? I think thats correct, car and tires 17660. Thanks for any help. Very happy with my es 330, great car. Impala is a good car too, but not a Lexus. Thanks,

Tim

Normal, SOP.

With wheelspin/slip that results from too much engine torque for roadbed conditions the brakes will be applied to the slipping wheel(s) and the engine will be dethrottled to prevent brake overheating and rotor warping.
