When Switch From D To S While In Hwy

I have a 08 350 AWD GS. I notice when I switch from D to S around 60 MPH. The transmission uses 4th gear instead of 6th gear. Is this normal? This is kind of dangerous. Can this be re-configured based on the speed?

Well if you want sporty gear changes, I could see doing 60mph in 4th gear. I'm sure the transmission can handle it.

Though you should check your manual to see if their is a max speed limit to when you can change the transmission from D to S.
