I would assume that the Borla pipes will be a larger diameter, and will also remove the pre-cats, and pre-mufflers. So, personally I would opt for the new pipes, if they met those 2 points.

Yeah, SportCoupe300 is right. You just ordered the exhaust mufflers. otherwise the price would be close to a Grand. By the way, are you planning to install turbos any time in the future? Something I would consider before ordering pipes.

If you're not, just get the muffler. The exhaust note is worth the money.

i do know they are just mufflers and tips, thats why i asked about the pipes, and yes i am interested in a turbo, but not for another year atleast. should i wait? should i get the turbo headers now and build around that? i know nothing at all about exhaust

Personally, I think building a turbo kit over the process of a year is a good idea. Won't hit you so hard in the pocket book, and gives you time to really get the understanding behind it before it's done. I would say wait, and start building your turbo kit now. Become a sponge, and milk us turbo guys for all we know over the course of the next half a year, and start buying parts.. Maybe 1 to 2 things per month, after about 9 months, you'd have your kit done and ready for install, gives you plenty of time.
