kenkay Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I have a 2000 ES300... can you only purchase oem blades or inserts thru the dealer?... scoured the internet and could not find any sources for oems. Can you buy just the insert at the dealer or do you need to buy the whole blade? Is looking for Camry blades or inserts a viable option? Ken Kay
SW03ES Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 The dealer sells just the inserts. Honestly the Lexus OEM blades are the best I've found. PIAA inserts will fit in the OEM housings, but I prefer the OEM blades.
Tyler121 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 i have gone so much crap trying to find good wipers, i finally broke down and bought some oem and they are just out right the best. but im pretty sure the only way you can buy the blades are through the dealer.

Toyotas are not the same. I've tried them and I can absolutely tell the difference between the blades the Lexus dealer sells and the blades Toyota sells.
Tyler121 Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 well i bought my wipers at the Lexus dealership...waited a week, when back up there to pick them up, and guess what it says on the side. Toyota OEM replacement. so i am assuming that the lexus and toyota wipers are the same
SW03ES Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Oh of course. Everything made for the Lexus is made by Toyota, but the individual blades are very different. All Bosch blades aren't the same, all Trico blades aren't the same. I've used both, and the blades from Lexus wipe cleaner, operate more quietly, and last longer.
