Hello

I am nevada is300 owner and I just bought cobra xrs 9330 for $79 at circuit city few days ago.

Has anyone used this product?

It seems it is not catching cops as I expected.

sometimes, it does not even beep when i passes the cop who is giving ticket to other vehicle.

I am not a racer or agressive driver but just want to get away from cop's trap.

Is this product really not worth it or just cops are not shooting the radar?

Does anyone own beltronic v940 or v955 and how are they?

I don't want to waste too much money on this product.

recomendation, plz

Thank you.

NY Staties turn their RD's off after they have pulled someone over, mine never goes off when I pass them with someone pulled over, most Highway Patrol/State Patrol use pulse radar and only when they see someone coming fast so they can be misleading....but for my money my Passport 3500 has saved me many a ticket!!! Most will tell you Passport or Valentine One are the only ones worth the $$$

Theres a thread in the general discussions about this with links to sites that rate them and the whole bit. I like the 9500. Paid more for the blue display too!!

The 9500 that smooth1 is referring to is an Escort model. I am an aggressive driver and drove a Porsche 944 on a coast-to-coast and back on a 10,000 mile trip. The Escort save my rear several times. There is one in my pickup truck as well.

Just recently it picked up a speed trap in WA state. See details at:

The Escort 9500 is also invisible to the radar detector-detector. You will pay for the performance but after all - you have a Lexus.

One last thing, thanks to the Escort I have not gotten a ticket in over 40 years.

yup my dad has an escort and has never gotten a ticket since he got it

Clearly the best radar detectors on the market are not the ones that suction cup to the window!!! I have the passport SRX with shifters on my Grand Cherokee SRT8,I also have the new beltronics RX75 pro plus in my Viper and my v6 accord sedan...I think I'm going with the k40 Calibre in my IS300 because it is bluetooth based which means a little less wiring!!! The shifters on these units are amazing and are worth the money ten fold!!!

HALLSTAR TINT & DETAIL INC.

No selling in the car topic forums please.
