Turn Off "ms. Navigation

EMP

Recommended Posts

Alright, I know already that I have to wait until after the beep to put in my navigation instruction. I don't need to be told each time. Is there a way I can turn off Ms. Navigation and just have a beep after I push the talk button? It would certainly make entering faster.

I don't have my owners manual right handy, but yes you can disable the intro. It's in (on) the set up screen. As I recall there are three pages to that selection. Again since I don't have the manual right handy I can't recall the page, but I want to say the second page.

I set mine up so that there is a beep only. There are voice selection you can make that do bring back the 'voice' to ask a question or make a statement however. I don't know if you can (or even want to) turn that feature off.

It is called Voice Recognition Command. Not a good name for it, since it means 'a command by your nav system to say a command. Probably a bad translation from Japanese.

Menu, Setup, go to page two, and turn it off. Then you will merely hear a "chirp", rather than the voice prompt.

Thanks! I found it.
