SCRider
I'm planning to get cold air intake for my 92 sc300. Does anyone know what would be the best brand but also inexpensive? Also, will it make a big difference? I heard that it will be better on MPG and add more HP, if this is true then why not get one right? Every SC300 and SC400 left the factory with a "53299-24010 Duct, cool air intake". Lexus must have thought it was a good idea, too.
alicias
i put in the one from rod millen. it was kind of pricy and the delivery took too long. it didn't make much of a difference. if i weren't so lazy i would have done a bfi. i still may. SCRider
so is it a no go or should i get the intake? If it doesn't make that much of a difference then I don't want to be wasting my money.
JIBBBY
Go with the BFI intake...It's free and requires just a few modifications with your stock intake design....Planetsoarer.com has the how to do it instructions for the BFI intake...Check it out.... I used the Rod Millen intake and injen intake snorkel tube...Spent $200 of more and it still does not outperforme the BFI intake....
