waf102
Need adive on replacing trunk latch/actuator module. I already have used replacement parts... Any one have to do this before? Comments? Advice? Also, advice on best way to take out the trunk lid linning. Don't want to mess it up or break anything... What tools procedure are best? Any input would be appreciated as I have to do this fast under less than idea circumstances (and don't have the $ to spend on this...) Thank you! -Bill

Thank you! -Bill Removing the black fiberboard is pretty easy as I did this to get to the taillights. It is held in by these little plastic push in rivets. They pull out with some force, but the way to do this without hurting the fiberboard is to use a screwdriver and pry behind the rivets as close as possible to the rivet, a 2 prong fork would work perfectly if it were strong enough. They push right back in when they need to. Looking at the latch will probably reveal the problem. Good luck.
