Ls 400 Engine Shuts Off When Ac Or Heat Is Turned On

I have a 1992 ls 400,I am on the 2nd alternator, there is a continuing problem with the power steering pump leaking onto the alternator. That is something we are working on but now the problem is if we turn the ac or heat on the engine shuts off. Anyone have any ideas? Or is this all related to the alternator problem?

ya you need a new ac compressor or change the ball bearing(probly not the right spelling) in it. but before you fix it try pushing the gas a bit so it doesnt stall if it stalls anyways it could be something else.
