mrsebastian
i know we've done this topic a couple of times, but still wondering if anyone has used an fm modulator to add an ipod or mp3 changer to their stock system? how does it sound and are you happy with it? perm269
I have a FM modulator in mine for a MP3 player. There is obviosuly a loss in quality so you have to turn up the reciever a little bit more. Also note, that if you are in an area that has an abundance of radio stations (ie. Los Angeles) then you might have to keep changing the frequency that you use (or at least this has been my experience). For example on the way to work I had to change the frequency three times (in a 20 mile drive). However, it does the job that you are looking for and at 15 bucks it is much cheaper than overhauling the stereo to add an mp3 player.
