Seat Belt Warning

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm new here, but I had a question about the seatbelt warning. Everytime i put some bags in the passenger seat or my suitcase, or if one of my kids presses against the seat, the warning chime goes off and doesn't turn off for a while. Then if I put the car in park or reverse it goes off again, it can get really annoying. Is there anyway I can turn this off. I know it is important to buckle up, but I am not turning it off for this reason. Thanks alot.

I have an 08 RX350 that the seat belt alarm was disabled. It is simple but you have to know what to do.

Check this link for more information. The method stated works for the RX as well. Try searching the forum if you need help on something else - you will be amazed at the amount of helpful information here.

I used this method on my 08 RX350 with success.

(a) Driver and front passenger side seat belt buzzers

(1) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

(2) Press the ODO/TRIP switch until the odometer displays "ODO".

(3) Turn the ignition switch off.

(4) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

(5) Press the ODO/TRIP switch immediately (within 6 seconds) and hold it down for 10 seconds or more.

(6) Continue holding down the ODO/TRIP switch and fasten the driver side seat belt.

(7) Check that the odometer displays either "b-on" or "b-oFF".

(8) Press the ODO/TRIP switch to change the display to "b-oFF".

(9) Turn the ignition switch off.

Yes you are right.

It works amazing.

No beep, beep, beep...........................................................

Do you have an answer to the tailgate beeping?

And also to the Nav?

Faithfully in your debt,

Thank you very, very very much.............

tailgate beeping can be configured by the dealer via Lexus Personal Settings. Does anyone know if you can turn this feature on in a 2004 RX330?
