First post thanks in advance for any assistance. My wife was leaving a game today, car started fine drove for 30 secs, sputtered and then died. There is plenty of battery but it just won't turn over. I tried pumping gas pedal and one sputter but that's it. I was able to smell fuel so I think the fuel pump is okay. Any other suggestions before I call to tow it from the church tommorrow. Thanks.

Sounds like fuel pump. Can you hear the pump running when you turn the key on? I would spray some starter fluid in the intake and see if it will try to start then..

I did not hear it but I was able to smell fuel by the engine so I just kinda ruled that out. Although I will try that in the morning just in case. Thanks

If you can smell fuel, that may not be the fuel pump. sounds like you are getting no spark and that might mean a timing belt. this is a worst case scenario. Other than pulling a few plastic covers to see the belt actually moving, I dont know how to check this externally. It could also be the ECU, maybe just a loose plug? Good Luck.
