dclexus Posted October 19, 2007 Share Posted October 19, 2007 I have a 2005 RX330. I just updated the navigation DVD from 4.1 to 6.1. With the old DVD, you could access a menu from the volume screen to override the lockout while moving. With the upgrade, this is not possible. Is there an alternate way to override this? Is it possible to go back to the 4.1 DVD version and be able to access the menu or is the upgrade irreversible? If I try the old DVD in after having installed the new one, is there any chance of causing a problem that could not be solved simply by reinserting the new one? gabep Posted October 19, 2007 Share Posted October 19, 2007 Remove the new dvd and disconnect the battery ground cable for 5 minutes, reinstall the 4.1 and you are back where you started. Is there a security code for the radio that is needed after power is lost (like my BMW) that requires either having the code or making a trip to the dealer for a reset?
