DaveN
I'm coming up on 90k and I've searched for all the posts. Beside changing the water pump and replacing the belt tensioners and idle bearings what tips do you pros have for me? I plan to have the local Toyota dealer perform the service and I want to make sure that we get it right. Thanks, Dave
LXPearl
Make sure they use the proper Toyota long life coolant - I have seen some Toyota dealers use the cheap green stuff and it does not last as long, nor will the hoses, radiator, and other components last as long as they should. By the way do you have an extended warranty on that water pump that could be of assistance to you ($$$) if it is bad and covered. Don't forget recalls on certain areas that you might not be aware of. Way to check the muster of the dealer see if they give you a clean up on the 470 when they a finished Take care & Good Luck
