the lights on the hands on my speedometer/gas gauge, and RPM went out. I heard from someone that this is a common problem in this model. Is this true?

If so, what caused it to go out and is there a simple DIY way to fix it?

This is very common indeed. Do some searching and you'll find what you need.

I wonder if you are having a 'plug' problem? Have you taken your cluster out? If so, check the seating of the three plugs in the back. That would be a quick fix.

If not. then you may need to take it out and check ther seating/tightness of the guage mounting screws.

Read this link to see what I am describing.
