dizigital Posted September 8, 2007 Share Posted September 8, 2007 Hi all. Just got my is350 couple weeks ago and its getting hot. I'm looking for some suggestions on tint on Smoky Granite Mica. I was thinking about getting either 20 all around or 35/20. Anyone also know if there's a slight tint on factory windows and what percent that is? And if some of you SGM drivers can posts some pics of your tint and percentage that'll be awesome. No, factory windows aren't tinted. I'd go 20/5 (20 on fronts, 5 on rear and rear passenger). Thats what i went with. 5 in the rear is too dark and very hard to see out of when it is dark outside. Or go 20 all around, i would have done that but my state has laws for the driver and passenger windows cannot be more than 35%. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Manolo1 Posted September 13, 2007 Share Posted September 13, 2007 20 is great on sunny days, but at night you don't see sh-t! I would not recommend it. On tight turns you need to look thru the front windows and with 20 at night in a dark area with or without adaptive headlights you will not see well, be careful. I got 42 in front and 35 in back. i was afraid to get pulled over for tinting the front too dark, so i went with 42, but now i think 35 in the front would be nice too. 20 may be too dark for my taste.
