1998 Ls400 Side Marker Turn Lights Out

My problem:

My two side marker lights (running lights) beside the headlights are out, they work as turn signals though. When you have the lights on they do not light up. The bulbs have been replaced with new bulbs. The side marker lights that are on the front lower bumper in front of the tires one of those bulbs is out. I havent had time to pull the engine shield back to change that yet. Could that one lower bumper light side marker cause both of the two turning side markers (running lights) not to stay on. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I may be wrong, but I think the side marker lights you are referring to are only for turn signals. That's the only way they work on my 1998 LS. Maybe I also shuld be looking for bulbs in mine, if I'm wrong.

Yes, the front turn signals by the headlights on the 98-00 LS400 are only turn signals and are not running lights.

Yep, both Jim and etex are right, the turn signals don't function as running lights.
