Why in the hell did Lexus put 15" wheels on their flagship car when they rolled it out in 1990? Did Mercedes have 15" wheels on their luxury cars? They changed to 16" wheels the next year. I think it has much more to do with the suspension than the wheel diameter or the lower profile tire? Unless you mean Lexus would have to lower the suspension to match the aesthetics of a larger wheel? I know I want to lower mine so it looks better. No 4X4 look! The LS430s with the 17 inch wheel have a stiffer ride, more tire noise then the LS430s with the 16 inch wheels for instance. I can definately tell.
