Hi I recently had my transmission flushed and filled with new toyota type 4. I checked the level when the car was cold and again when hot and noticed in both cases the fill level way way ( 3 inches) above the marks on the dip stick.

I know over filling your oil pan can cause major problems since it causes foaming etc. so I was wondering if problems occur with over filling the tranmission pan.

My question can over filling the car 's tranmission cause problems??? if so what might they be? or is no harm done by this?
