H8R Proof
...on driver's side isn't "springing" back into place after releasing the lock on the buckle. I have to kind of feed it back into place. How to fix?

SW03ES
The retractor in the b pillar needs to be replaced. Pretty common, my Explorer has the same problem but its not worth the $$ to fix it.
SKperformance
sometiems it is dirt along the panel slowing down the belt try pulling the belt all the way out and cleaning it with spray nine and for best results take off the panel ,clean the inside of it and then as much of the components as possible for the retractor

SKperformance
nope i meant spray nine i guess 409 can work also as it is just a real good cleaner
bbsal
just a thought..did maybe the belt get twisted at some point and retract all the way back so now you cant even see if it is twisted? take off the panel and check the whole seat belt and make sure its not twisted inside there.i had a simlar problem like that and it was that! H8R Proof
Do I have to take off the panel? How about if I just stretch out the belt all the way - ?
SKperformance
i woul say it is easier to see all of the belt but you don't have to if you don't want to make sure also the panel in fornt of the belt has just a few clips or plugs so just pull it away from the pilar and it pops off
