nytebytes Posted August 31, 2003 Share Posted August 31, 2003 I have a 1995 es300, here's my intermintent problem: turn the key and get a slight humming sound, motor will not start. Turn key again and it starts. Solenoid makes no clicking sound at any time. A friend tells me that the start diode may be bad. Where is this diode located, in harness upstream from solenoid and starter or located within solenoid or starter? Can't use vehicle until problem is resolved.
