Gold Exhaust Tips

My 1995 has the gold emblems, however the exhaust is chrome. I have noticed on some other es300's (rarely) that their exhaust tips are gold as well? I cannot seem to find any information on this. Was this an additional factory item on top of the gold emblem kit?

It was a dealer instaleld option , all depending if the customer wanted to spend the money

If you want gold exhaust tips, it's not terribly expensive to have them plated. Check the yellow pages for metal plating.

in sydney, the only people who have gold badges fitted are Chinese teenagers.

Personally, I find them a bit tacky.

The stock gold emblems are a golden chrome film plated ontop of plastic badges.

The stock gold exhaust tips are painted a sparklin (Metal flake of some kind) gold. Not plated.
