Whats Up With Starters In The 99's

Is it my imagination of is there actually 5 current threads regarding (ostensibly) starter problems in 99RX's? I've been on this board for a while and I don't remember many starter problems and then all these, all at once Hmmm.....

It's because it takes about 80000 to 100000 miles for the contacts to burn up or corrode sufficiently, as mine did recently. Incidentally the Toyota dealer's shop did not have a clue, but the local "foreign car" hole in the wall knew instantly.
