who makes a better suspension kit for the sc300? i like the tein flex with the electronic damper control, but i also like the jic-magic flt-a2. they are almost the same price. what are some of your opinoins? thnaks for the help

i prefer the jic

but they are having problems with the mounts on the shaft breaking off

so i would go for the tein instead

Being sponsored by JIC, i would have to tell you JIC all the way on a toyota/lexus. I have Tein on my other car and they are good too, but the FLTA2's are way better on my SC.

a good way to test it is to goto a nice mountain...take it for a spin. :P

hey i would put jic on my wheelbarow

they make a real smooth ride

but until they fix the shaft problems

i would tell no one to buy them

as they then try and blame the customer for agressive driving which caused it to break

and they won't supply an new coilover

sorry but that is not a company i stand behind

what else are coilovers made for but not agressive driving?

especially for 2 grand they damn well better stand up to abuse compared with even a ractive piece of crap on ever low to the ground accord and civic

im just as curious actually. i havent had any problems with their products... but this coming from a consumer is what i need to hear.

skperformance: which coilover did you get?

Posted

actually i don't have them

i have a performance buisness in toronto

and my one of my distributers

is having a problem

even on his sponsered jic cwest rsx

which is track, raced but rarely

the mount for the lower shock to the arm is braking off at the welds

he mentioned it has happened to a few other cars as well

not on the supra sc specific ones though

but unless it is in writing that they will replace it if it breaks then don't get them

i am not ttrying to hate on them

as i love the ride of the jic's especially to the more harsh tein ones

any retailer will say "oh no that is not true"

but then they should have no problem in puttting it in writing

right?

if the retailer does then go for the jic

JIC welds giving on strut tower bars and suspension components? That is not too good. TEIN HA. Do it.

I think im leaning more towards the jic flt-a2. I like the idea of the electronic damping on the tein, but do they get in the way of a strut bar... it looked like it in a pic i saw, there was no strut bar. I just want a great performing set up while still maintaining a good ride. I know Ill loose some ride quality with either, but thats ok. Does anyone know who has a good price for the jic's? thanks.

I have JICs on my SC and my F5k, and so far they're doing their job.

SK: It might be an Acura/Honda issue!

Posted

it mght just be a hinda acura issue

but to me it is still a company issue

like i said get it in writing that it will be repalced for free if buying it

the electronic dampener might work onthe jic as all it is is an electir servo that moves the knob up top

not much to it at all

i'll ask my distributer if it works on any others like the jic

as he was the first to bring it to canada long before king motorsporst in cali did
