Trans Problem? No Malfunction Indicator Lights.

None of the malfunction indicators on the right side above the speedo come on at all ever. The ones above the tach seem to work fine. My trac off light won't go on if I hit the button, also my tranny seems to shift early then doesn't like to kick down unless I do it manually w/ the od button. The tranny shifts fine if you run the shifter through the gears. Car has 250,000. I just got it. Please help!!!!!!!
