cnowlin121
I just bought my 94 LS. The power steering pump is leaking and now within minutes of warming up it makes a whinning noise and the fluid begins to foam up. Is it time to replace or can I go through the other suggestions from the forums - new ACV, clean the solenoid screen, clean the reservoir screen - still? I don't have any issues with heavy steering or anything that would indicate a lack of pump pressure but do have heavy leaking.
SRK
Get a Maval rebuilt unit and replace it. Remove the alternator and have the brushes replaced. Fix it properly, and enjoy the car, rather than perseverating on it.
