Daniel B Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 When i turn my headlights on they are slightly dimmer than they should be. I hit the gas and the lights brighten up. All internal car lighting seems alittle dimmer when i am not touching the gas. Anyone have any ideas what electrical area these problems come from.
DBrucher Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Word. I totally notice it in my dash-clock. You can barely read it with the RPMs low, then on acceleration, it's blindingly bright. And I replaced my alternator no more than 3 months ago. I wonder 'what the deal'.

DBrucher Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 No, that's what I mean: With a new alternator, where should I look next? It makes me wary to add subs in the trunk attached to this power circuit.
blk_on_blk Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I second the battery cables or grounds... it's probably corrosion. Check and clean all major electrical contacts, mainly the battery cables and the ground location from the battery.
