supra7 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I am considering buying a 2001 ES300 and love everything about the car but would like the drivers seat to track back just a little farther. The local Lexus dealer won't do anything for safety reasons. It seems to me the rails could be re-positioned, or possibly extended by welding on an extra length or maybe whatever causes the seat to stop could be repositioned?????????? I'm only 6', what do really tall people do??? Appreciate any ideas!!!!!!! Supra
Joyridin Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Dont know what to tell ya there. I'm 6'3" and fit nicely in mine. its just the gettin in and out of low to the ground car thats a pain in the a$$. <_<
1995_ES300 Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 im 6 3 but i drive a 95. my issue is headroom. I find the tips of my hair begin touching the roof in the morning, but by the afternoon after work there is a bit more clearance (spine compression??) lol. Anyways...just fiddle with the seat to find a good position....we're 3" taller and we managed somehow.
djspawn00 Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Take out your drivers seat and drive from the back seat. JK. I'm also 6'3" 260lbs and found that generation ES more than adequate with room, I admit that the seat would be in the farthest position possible but my knees never got cramped.
