nowstime Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Hi~ Finally, I'm getting my 2007 RX350...finally~~~THIS IS MY FIRST NEW CAR!!! The dealer told me he has to do a pre-delivery inspection (mechanic has to inspect inside and out and a test drive I heard). What should I examine before I pass over the check? I'm planning to examine the exterior, interior...but have no idea beyond that. Oh...and finally, what extra stuff or jobs can I get for the car to have it in great conditon for a good 10 years. I going to get; 1. All weather mat and cargo mat 2. 3M protection film on the front bumper, fender, hood and side mirrors. (local certified guy asking $430 for the whole job) 3. Front windows tinted. Is a complete wax job needed? Somebody told me that nowadays due to the development in paint technology, a wax coating is not that much needed.
Husker4theSpurs Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 I think the all-weather mats are a must ... basically the checklist the salesman will go through is just to make you feel like your car is important. I would check the exterior and interior for any scratches or the like, but otherwise wouldn't worry about it much. Maybe check the tire pressures there or sometime in the near future. Front window tint if that's your thing.
