Front License Plate Mount

Hey All!!!

Well, it is finally time to attach my license plate to the front, my black/black UL is a month old!! I do have some questions, and I hope they don't sound stupid!

1. The two indents on the front of the car are for the mounting plate, any special tools to gain access??

2. Will I need license plate bolts after attaching the bracket or will the provided serve two purposes by holding bracket and plate attached.

Thank you so much for a great forum, and a great wealth of knowledge!

I wondering the same thing, what did you end up doing? I think you are correct in that the two indents are made for the plate, as crude as it may sound I think you are supposed to just use a couple of screws?

Your Lexus dealer sells a bracket that fits the front bumper. You then attach your front plate to this bracket. The dealer might give you this bracket free, because in some States it's required to use a front plate.

I would not recommend you try to install it yourself as you need to drill holes. Your Lexus dealer is supposed to install it for you for free. In fact, when you bought the vehicle they were supposed to have informed you of that. Take it to your dealer, they will do it for free.
