I have a '92 SC300 and I just came across a small issue (but an issue none the less) regarding the driver's side door. It seems to lagging in the downward location ever so slightly. Because when I close the door from the inside or out, the latch on the door itself is hitting where it should be closing to the small "u-shaped" bar that is actually on the right-side body of the door closing - if that makes sense. I'm assuming there just needs to be an adjustment to the bolts. Probably loosening them up, setting the door up a little and then tightening the bolts. has anyone ever did this? Is it a two person job? Can a jack be used to lift the door up ever so easily to then adjust the setting?

Thanks!

Have someone lift the door while you look at the hinges. If the pins in the hinges are moving, they are worn and the hinges may have to be replaced. they do sell them.

Would you happen to know the cost? Do you have any experience with this type of issue yourself?

I was thinking of attacking this myself, but might leave it up to the Lexus service or other mechanic.

Thanks again!
