Recently purchased my 2001 GS300. Just noticed that there is no keyhole on my doors. The driver's door looks like it has been filled in or a cover placed on over the key-hole. It is a sleek look, but I don't like not having access to a keyhole. Can this be taken off? I would like to be able to use the keyhole in case the remote key does not work. Help

I have seen a few cars that have had the same thing done. They all have a emergency button...usually located under the car or wheel well ( hidden)!!! Anyway you would not know it was there unless you knew where to look. That button will unlock the doors. The only reason that it is there is incase the remotes did not work. I had a high dollar alarm system on a Jeep Wrangler that had one of these buttons to deactivate the alarm so that you could start the car incase your transmitter went dead. It was the only way you could start the car with out the transmitter...kind of cool but it kind of sucks too!

Good luck looking because I do not think unless I was shown where mine was I could have found it...even if someone told me the general area to look!
