Badams Posted November 13, 2006 Share Posted November 13, 2006 Has anyone had to Replace the starter on an 1999 LX 470? Any diagrahms or web sites that are recommended would be greatly appreciated. Lexus Master Tech Posted November 14, 2006 Share Posted November 14, 2006 The starter on your LX is between the cyl. heads. To get at it, remove the intake plenum. Make sure you get the intake gaskets too, and get a good starter....Toyota rebuilt if your budget allows, because you dont want to to this again....Trust me Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just a quick question re the starter change.. regarding the gaskets, any special things to do when seating the new gaskets? Do I use glue or anything special?
