samerooo
Hi guys, I recently purchased a 1992 Sc400 and am having trouble with the power mirrors and radio not working. I try to hit the "on" button, but nothing at all happens. I tried changing the fuse with a 7.5 fuse, but that did not fix the problem either. I took out the radio and I see some black marks around where the wires were plugged in behind the radio as if it short circuited. I was wondering if I should buy a new tape player, but I dont see how that could fix the mirror problem. If anyone has any clues as to what could be the problem or if you have had a similar experience, please share with me. Thank you for your time. Micah
Did you check the 20 amp fuse under the hood? It supplies constant power to the amps, head unit, power antenna, and maybe even the power mirrors. Check for any broken wires also that may be grounding out. Mine had one in the drivers door, so I crimped it back together. Still working good. I'd check the fuse first. The fuse box is right behind the battery and you get it open with a flat screw driver.
