What Kind Of Suspenion To Get For A Gs 400?

What kind of suspenion to get for a GS 400? I am looking for something not to expensive so probably not coilovers; I want to lower it about a half an inch to an inch, I want somthing that still rides descent as well. please give me some ideas. Thanks

H&R Sport springs can be had for under $280.00. I've used them before. Paired with the appropriate shock/strut the ride is very civilized.
