lexus082 Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I've drained and refilled my rear diff. before with the rear end jacked up. But I always wondered if the car should be level to obtain a proper fluid level when refilling. Does this make any sense or doesn't it matter.
jzz30 Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 it should be level as too high of an oil level may casue the seals in the outputs of the diff to leak.
over40driver Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Also go by the amount of fluid rcommended in the owners manual.
