kissell Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I just got the 400h with the ML stereo. The brochure said that the ML was DVD audio and Vido capable. I tried to put a DVD in and just get the error message. I was hoping that it would play through the Nav screen, but no luck. Does anyone know what DVD capable means if not able to play DVD's? Thanks
kissell Posted July 7, 2006 Author Posted July 7, 2006 put the parking brake on. Tried Parking brake, nothing. There is no DVD logo, just the Mark Levinson logo, so I am afraid it is just regular stereo. DVD Audio not video. Does that mean I can put in a DVD and at least get sound? Tried that with a concert DVD, still got the error message.
jerryray Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 The factory RES does not like DVD-R's. It does work with +r's and DVD RW+. Where are you putting the DVD, in the front changer? put the parking brake on. Tried Parking brake, nothing. There is no DVD logo, just the Mark Levinson logo, so I am afraid it is just regular stereo. DVD Audio not video. Does that mean I can put in a DVD and at least get sound? Tried that with a concert DVD, still got the error message.

Yes, in the main deck in the dash. I thought DVD's would play in the NAV screen. put the parking brake on. Tried Parking brake, nothing. et1957 Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 the dvd's only play on the nav screen when u have a dvd player on the overhead built in from the factory,,u press disc to aux,,and be sure to have the emergency brake on,and u have 2 screens in your car,,also the nav screen has all the controls to the dvd by touching the screen the buttons pop up that allow u to rewind, forward, skip, etc.
