Cannot Add Attachments To Posts

I keep getting the following error when trying to add an attachment. Can anybody tell me what's going on?

"The requested file upload failed because suitable permissions have not been enabled on the 'uploads' directory. Please contact the board administrator and inform them of this error."

I have PM'd the main admin. of the club and have gotten no response.

The feature was turned off because there was a spammer trying to upload spyware to IPB boards.

The other admin is not available at the moment so thats the reason why he has not answered your PM..

Thank you gentlemen for the answer. I've been hosting my own attachments in the mean time. It's nice to know what's cookin' behind the scenes.

Would someone please take it upon themselves to fix this issue? The usefullness of this forum is severely impared with this feature disabled.

jus checking to see if attachments can be added yet, does anyone know? i no it was said that they turned off the feature, but i wanted to know if it is still off

It is still off.

The easiest way is to upload it to another server and link it through.

yahoo and many others offer free hosting.
