How To Reset The Ecm

I am at a hopeless situation. I have no power and i have charged the battery. I would like to reset the ecm and how do i check the main fuse under the hood? I think that it will run if i can just get some power to the system. I have no power and i have nothng to loose. Also, what makes this car any different than a chevy or ford? I mean it has an engine, electrical, and all the bells and whisles. So, i need some help with this clunker, i have never had a car that won't run because of the oil getting too hot or gelling. I checked the heads and cleaned out the engine oil pan and all the parts. So why won't this thing run? I want to give up but i won't just yet. Any suggestions, before i torch this car.
