jakedarake
Anyone know a way to get a new Nakimichi receiver unit for a '99 es300? Mine just fissed out, and left me with a wonderful burnt electrical auroma. The dealer told me for as much as it will cost to get it replaced, I should just go aftermarket. But, what I've priced out will run over a grand, as everyone tells me everything will need to be replaced, as the components don't work well together. SpeedRacer959
I did a junkyard search w/ www.car-part.com for you. Try these places below. They are junkyards that have Nakamichi radios from 1998-2000 Lexus ES-300's. Some of them look like they come w/ the CD changer for that price, so you could probably sell it separately on ebay to recoupe some cost. The LCD went out on mine awhile back and I bought a new radio for $100 and replaced my old one....good as new now. -Jimi 2000 Radio Lexus ES300 AN FM,CASS,N017 17437 $450 All Foreign Auto Parts, Inc. - PRP USA-VA(Fredericksburg) E-mail 1-800-533-4091 1998 Radio Lexus ES300 rcver, Nakamichi- 8792 $450 Mitch's Auto USA-MI(Detroit) E-mail 1-800-283-3634 1998 Radio Lexus ES300 rcver, Nakamichi- 9719 $450 Mitch's Auto USA-MI(Detroit) E-mail 1-800-283-3634 1998 Radio Lexus ES300 B8872 $400 Barger Mattson - Boise USA-ID(Boise) E-mail 1-208-853-2002 1998 Radio Lexus ES300 86120-33210 200784 $400 Miami Parts USA-FL(Opa-Locka) E-mail 1-800-644-4788 1999 Radio Lexus ES300 w/cd changer Old ticket:000002 GM336 $250 Foss Auto Greenville - PRP USA-NC(Greenville) E-mail 1-800-446-8564 Let me know how it goes... zeta
the components won't really not work... but because the amp is low power and the speakers aren't very high wattage. the stock HU was designed especially to work perfectly with the components installed. it won't really not sound good unless you're an audio fanatic, but it would sound a lot better if you changed them out. i'm not sure how you calculated out to over a grand with new components. what components are you changing? those are quite pricery speakers if ya ask me. unless you're getting a really good HU. kevin
