I am getting a 93 SC300 with 90k miles and one of the first things I would like to do is change the timing belt. Anyone here done that? I changed one on a Honda Accord a few months ago and got to be quite intimate with that engine. Not a lot of room to work on it with the engine being sideways. Also, any ideas on getting parts? I usually find it better to use factory parts under the hood.

Pretty straight forward. I'd recommend getting the factory service manual. Haven't done one on an SC yet. Winter job.

I would recommend checking the manufacture date on the timing belt before changing it. The previous owner might have already done it, since it was supposed to be done at 60k.

If you want to make sure the T-belt haven't replaced take the cover off and look at the belt. Inline 6 t-belt is really easy(well at least for me). Also while you are in there, replace your cam seals too. Good luck.
