SKperformance Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 the second one is a pictuer not for the ES the first is but for such a cheap price they are worth it
bbsal Posted July 31, 2003 Author Posted July 31, 2003 cool thanks!i think i might buy it thats why i wanted to find out first.
Zephyr Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 I got the same strut bar. When i had it on, the engine seem to be restricted because the strut bar was in the way. Every time i reversed, there would be a big clank because the engine manifold hits the bar. It wears away the lining under the hood too. Since then i took the bar off. If you put it on, tell me how well it works.
SKperformance Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 that is how they made those types of round bars mine is not like that and fits prefectly with yours all you have to do is buy a few washers place one at a time and try it to get the clearance needed mainly on the inner most nut only then it should clear fine
dmccombs Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 BBSAL, So did you buy this front strut bar? If so, how did it work for you? I have been considering a similar strut bar and would appreciate any input you may have. Thanks, Darrelll
bbsal Posted November 25, 2003 Author Posted November 25, 2003 yes i bought one and it works fine.good quality and very strong.i was impressed.go for it because they do make a difference!
dmccombs Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 BBSAL, So you bought from Autobacs1 and the bar does not clang when going into reverse, or wear on the hood lining? I am a new (used lexus) owner and am still in that "double check everything" mode. Thanks for the info, Darrell
