NeiLtYmE Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 Ok .. i was reading the other thread about securities ... But my question goes out to all those who have current aftermarket security systems... when these were installed ... were they hard to ? did they interfere with the exsisting system lexus comes with ? what else ? sorry.... im in the quest for getting one... particularly a viper product... the i hear .. that it takes quite some time to do so ... especially on the lexus cars
SKperformance Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 they are pretty easy to do i have a clifford one now owned by dei which owns viper as well the remote starter is the only problem if any but a good shop can do it right pay to get it done rofessinally by a high end shop as others have had problems with the power locks not working right because they used the wrong wires
HoeBag Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 i have the aladdin 2000, remote start, trunk opener, 2 shock sensors, etc.. my friend who is an audio installer did it for me, hes done this alarm on many cars, so i trusted him a lot - he did it in about 5 hours...it was a !Removed! to do <_<
NeiLtYmE Posted July 29, 2003 Author Posted July 29, 2003 yeah .. ! i dont know of im going to get the remote starter thought... ive heard that it develops alotta issues with the starter and other mechanical problems later on... dont know how true this is
SKperformance Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 there are no issues with the remote starter unless you let a butcher install it ir use a crappy alarm
NeiLtYmE Posted July 30, 2003 Author Posted July 30, 2003 viper.... ever heard of ziebart.... there a guy thats been there for like 13 years... and knows what hes doin ... so i guess ill give it a shot
SKperformance Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 ziebart does car cleaning a big francise i am not sure i would let them install it a simpler car sure with alot less wiring , no problem i looked under the dash a few weeks ago on the passenger side i looked up and saw 4 computers in a row never mind i know the srs is under the hand brake the alram one is in the trunk and the list goes on just a whole lot of wires for someone to keep trying to tap and test
