SnesleyWipes Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Well it finally blew. Now I just need to know if I should replace it with factory radiator or something different. I do get factory parts at wholesale. Please give any opinions. Thx, Snes

tckcumming Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Cool. I have a heavy foot too. My $60 radiator works well. ;) I need a new rad for my '93. I keep putting it off because it doesn't leak or cause any problems... yet! Only a matter of time, tho. Where did you get your $60 radiator? Lots of those on ebay... tck...
SnesleyWipes Posted February 4, 2006 Author Posted February 4, 2006 Aftermarket. OEM Toyota is hella expencive, Lexus is bawahahahahahaha Ok, my quote from Lexus for a brand new radiator is $438 my price, normally $600. However someone recommended "Performance" radiators? Performance Radiator This price came out to only $145. Is this the route I should take? Are these good or can anybody recommend a good aftermarket? Thx again, Snes

Thx again, Snes See if Fluidyne has a good aftermarket solution, will be abou the same price as the one above and you can add a mod to your list :)
Toysrme Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Mine came from Westwood. IDK about performance radiator. I've never heard of them.
tckcumming Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Mine came from Westwood. IDK about performance radiator. I've never heard of them. Fluidyne make rads & coolers for racing cars & hot rods. I've seen a few old modded muscle cars w/ Fluidyne aluminum rads in them. Beautiful things, very shiny and with all those perfect aluminum welds everywhere. I have never checked, but they LOOK very pricey! I'm sure you'd never have overheating problems with one of these in your car. Awesome quality - but overkill for a street car, I think. Great for bragging rights at a car show, though, if that's your intention. tck...
