tonydgs400 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 hey guys my friend has a 98 gs300 & his orange oil light comes on (not the red oil light) for about 15-20minutes then goes off & comes back on like every 20minutes or so, anyone knows why or how to solve this, he has change the oil & filter but it still happens
GuyTelefunken Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 First of all, there is no orange oil light. The light you are referring to is the low coolant light. Your friend needs to R.T.F.M.
tonydgs400 Posted February 1, 2006 Author Posted February 1, 2006 thanks buddy, & i will let him no to get his eyes checked
mehullica Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 There is an orange color light for low oil level warning. Red is for oil pressure. the orange light is next to the CHECK ENGINE light.
GuyTelefunken Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I stand corrected, yet again. Perhaps I should read the manual. Provided that the correct amount of oil was added (5.7 quarts with a new filter) that light should not come on. I would suspect the oil level sender. Oil_Level_Warning.pdf
