dfkd Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I was browsing eBay and came across this...beauty (read abomination). URL: Get a bucket before you click this... What do you guys think? Should we rise up as one and slay him? :chairshot:
sha4000 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 im not going to knock him b/b i remember in the 80's when guys in the hood would take any luxury car and put all kinds of designer leather in their cars. i knew one guy who had a drop top 900saab and did the whole top in GUCCI. this car is probably from that era
SRK Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 It's his car. He can do with it as he pleases. While it might not be to anyone else's taste, he should not be threatened, even jokingly, for doing it. At least the workmanship seems quite good.
dfkd Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 The workmanship is supurb, make no mistake. I'm not threatening at all. It's a cool idea...just bizarre to me i guess
RFeldes Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Well said guys.............To each his own..........and that is fine Gucci workmanship. That is why these cars are fun. You can put a lot of dough into them and still enjoy them for years. Hey, he may want to go LV next time around.
blake918 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I know each person can do what he wants with their car, but I can't resist bashing him for not putting $200 aside to have Walker or Mikado put a new climate control LCD in before plunking down serious dinero for those "dubs" and yards and yards of Gucci upholstry. I love that AutoZone steering wheel cover job!! I get dizzy just from looking at that headliner; it reminds me of a Magic Eye puzzle! lol
SKperformance Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 For a 98-2000 LS i would use the money to go somewhere else or preferable a nice 2 tone suede inlay. But everyone has there own personal style and needs which is why among other things Lexus makes more than one car model. I would be interested in seeing the whole car , as to me if you go that far with the material you better have a whole lot more to complment it. Kind of like wearing wal mart shoes with a prada handbag. I wonder if it is knock off material as it would make it much more reasonable .
Gumart1 Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Interesting...to say the least! I saw this car just sell on E-Bay 2 weeks ago for about $5500. Perhaps the new owner's eyes couldn't focus on the road It was listed then as a "Gucci Edition". He sure didn't keep it very long.

SKperformance Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Just looked at the rest of the pics , it is one ugly car. Chrome fenders edging half the car has gucci fabric but not the back seats? Atleast he didn't waste the money on leather .
MadMax96 Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 I think the wheels look worse than that interior. The steering wheel cover, however, takes the cake. Did this guy used to drive a taxi???
melhadri Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Not my cup of tea but I guarantee the chicks dig it. Gotta admit, the LS is still a beauty, even when its wrapped in Gucci.
luvmylex Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 its not my taste..but.. i wear boxers u wear breifs.. does that mean your !Removed!? leave the hate at home .. more power to that man! B)
wwest Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 If you spend some time in Japan you will discover that this is NOT outside the norm there.
bartkat Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Yeah, some of them have "Hello Kitty" prints instead of Gucci. :D
lexus400 Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Let's not be so politcally correct - that is hideous by any standards.
SKperformance Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Alright guys i am going to close this thread as it is really not accomplishing anything .
